1. RCN: What type of band are you?

Disco Punk

2. RCN: Tell us the brief history of your band.

The Art Ghetto started around the end of 1999 with Thor writing songs after the demise of prior band and later joined by Rain. then based in then living in Seattle wa. played a couple show around Seattle then took off touring in 2002 with a drummer from LA. after playing around LA for while moved to 02. and has been here happily ever since while playing around LA and So Cal and have started a weekly night at revolver in west Hollywood that is moving to Mr. t's on June 7th

we have played Mr T's, the scene, the old towne pub, revolver, 14 below, que sera, burnt ramen, kimos (SF) and many others that I can think of at this sec.

3. RCN: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

all music good and bad sometime I listen to things I hate just to look for something interesting about them.

4. RCN: What are your dreams and goals?

would like to rule the world

5. RCN: Who writes the songs, what are they about?

we both write. varied topics from silly to politics

6. RCN: What's your opinion of George Bush?

retard

7. RCN: How do you promote your band and shows?

fliers, email, club listing. working with bands that we can trust and creating a scene around us and the bands we work with

8. RCN: Describe your show, visual and musically

a spectacular

9. RCN: What do you think about downloading music online?

it is rad

10. RCN: What's your outlook on the record industry today?

I hope it dies

11. RCN: What's your claim to fame?

we are ourselves and what comes is us and no one else can do that.

12. RCN: Tell us a story about a day in your life.

struggle starve and be look good doing it

13. RCN: What inspires you to do what you do?

there really is no choice we don't fit in the other world so this is what we do.

14. RCN: What advice would you give to fellow bands?

don't do pay to play and play what you want

15. RCN: What are some of your pet peeves?

pay to play clubs, rock critics and advice from non music people on how to do what we are doing

16. RCN: How does music affect you and the world around you?

it creates the vibe

best get to play the worse the money

20. RCN: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.

our next show is at mr t's and the first one of our move there. we have the dollyrots and bang sugar bang to kick it off. we hope it is the start of creating a place that you can go and get a whole night of fun and a place where bands that are working their asses off get a chance to play and enjoy it. so come help us make that happen
