RCN: Hello, we are here with_the anix_________ a local band from _Rancho Cucamonga, CA________ , and they're _blowing up right now______ , so we're going to find out a little more about what makes them tick. . .

1. RCN: What type of band are you?

A mix between New wave and Alternative Rock

2. RCN: Tell us the brief history of your band.
(include when you started and some shows you've played)
We started The Anix in 2001, and have been playing the hollywood circuit since. We made friends with Claudia from Lunarclick, and Carlton From Deadsy, and they helped us out alot with shows, and playing with bigger names like RURIK, and Lunarclick.

3. RCN: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

The cure, Duran Duran, The Cars, Bush, The Faint

4. RCN: What are your dreams and goals?

the Goals of this band were to make it to the point we are at now, which is unbelievable for us, we have a cd out, a tour in progress, radio play, worldwide fans.

5. RCN: Who writes the songs, what are they about?

I write them (Brandon) with the help of Chris (our keyboard and bass player) they are about everyday problems that kids go through.

6. RCN: What's your opinion of George Bush?

He messed up, get him out!

7. RCN: How do you promote your band and shows?

internet 90%, street 10%. Obviously we need more street promotion.

8. RCN: Describe your show, visual and musically

Its hard to pull off all the keyboards and effects live without using a dat tape, we are totally against those things, it takes the fun out of playing, and is kind of like cheating to us, we may not sound as good as a DAT band, but at least we try to do it LIVE and stay true to the word

9. RCN: What do you think about downloading music online?

if its free, its stealing. bands spend thousands on albums, and people dont realize that.

10. RCN: What's your outlook on the record industry today?

I think if your a good band with good songs, there is hope.

11. RCN: What's your claim to fame? (What's unique about your band)

that we dont care about whats popular today in music, we have always stuck to what we like.

12. RCN: Tell us a story about a day in your life.

wake up, eat, send press kits out, record, practice, reply to emails, eat, make more press kits, get address to send them too, check email, go to bed. the end

13. RCN: What inspires you to do what you do?

We all just have a dream and a love for playing music

14. RCN: What advice would you give to fellow bands?

its a long hard road, get people that are dedicated

15. RCN: What are some of your pet peeves?

baggy pants, cheap shoes

16. RCN: How does music affect you and the world around you?

it brings you up or down.

17. RCN: What's new in the recording of your music?

the techniques we use, the gear we use, everyting is unique about it.

18. RCN: What are the biggest obstacles for bands?

exposure

19. RCN: What's the best and worst thing about playing clubs?

the best is seeing your fans singing your songs, the worst is dealing with the a-holes that run the clubds

20. RCN: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.

friday may 21st, at pharoes lost kingdom. we are in the top 5 unsigned bands for 96.7 KCAL fm, and we duel off this friday.
RCN: Thank you for your insight and time. We'll look forward to hearing your music and seeing your next live show . . . Later gator.
