Vol 1 No 2

KRUNK smashed through the last quarter of 1997 like a mid-Eastern tornado leaving a huge path of destruction. In early November, KRUNK was nominated in three categories at the 2nd Annual Rock City News Awards held at The Country Club in L.A., CA. KRUNK walked away with two awards. The band was named BEST PUNK BAND in Los Angles. KRUNK'S beautiful drummer Athena won BEST FEMALE DRUMMER in L.A. Athena was also nominated for BEST DRUMMER (Males & Females) in the 7th Annual L.A. Music Awards held at The Palladium. She was the first female ever nominated in the history of the L.A. Music Awards.

KRUNK then hit the road and headed south to the San Diego Sports Arena where they opened for Motley Crue. Introduced to the crowd by Tommy Lee, KRUNK proceeded to rip through one song after another leaving the arena crowd screaming for more.

When KRUNK got back to L.A., the band had two record deals sitting on the table. KRUNK is carefully considering their options and will make a decision in early February.

KRUNK has also received an offer from a top name producer (who recently had a worldwide #1 hit) to work with the band. An announcement of this collaboration will be made shortly.

If all this wasn't enough, KRUNK learned on New Year's Eve Day, that the band had been selected as a semi-finalist in the Sam Goody National Talent Search, Unvailed, contest. KRUNK was picked out of thousands of entries nationwide. KRUNK faced off against the other regional finalists and won that battle. The band is now one of ten bands nationwide still in the competition.

KRUNK still has a small amount of their limited edition autographed CD, "Greatest Hits." Copies are selling fast. Anyone interested can order the CD for $10.00, plus $2.00 for shipping & handling. Vol 1 No 1

KrunK is sick! That's right, sick in the head. Lead singer JIMMY RATCHITT is Doctor Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. He has enough personalities to make Sibyl jealous.

Rock Goddess/skin pounder ATHENA spends all her time running away from shifty magazine publishers, greedy Hollywood agents, and mega-crazed male sex fiends with too many hormones.

Dave Whiston guitar God recently missed his flight to catch the spaceship "Heaven's Gate." He spends all day running around town in his new Nike tennis shoes.

Bass player TONY GUARDARAS has some really cool things to say . . . the only problem is, he can't remember what they are.

KrunK is currently holed up in Cornerstone Recording Studios in L.A. mixing tracks for their upcoming European debut release. The album, tentatively tittled "KIKBUMNASAL" is being produced by James Kottak, (akka Jimmy Ratchitt) and Matty Spindel, (Slink, Soul II Soul)

KrunK is currently being managed by Stuart Young of Hard To Handle Management, (Scorpions, ELP, Foreigner, etc) and Jeff C. Gordon. They can be reached at 818-789-5964 or 1-800-253-0874

Krunk was just recently nominated "Best Punk Band", "Most Psychotic Band", and "Best Female Drummer" for the 2nd Annual Rock City News Awards '97. These awards will be held at the Reseda Country Club on Thursday, November 6th, 1997.
