Special Comments:
These beaches are accessible only to military personnel, their dependents, retired Marine Corps personnel and DOD personnel.

Playa Del Mar has a nice sand beach with an excellent surf spot next to Oceanside's North Jetty and a small marina with a boat launch located in the northern basin of Oceanside Harbor.

San Onofre Recreational Beach, better known as Churches, is at the north end of Camp Pendleton within San Onofre State Beach. Among its amenities, Churches has a number of picnic tables with shade. The nearby state beach has campsites and RV hookups.

Food/dining:
Both beaches have small markets but no prepared-food establishments.

Restrooms:
Both beaches have showers and restroom facilities.
