Beach Information
Special Comments:
Along with a mix of locals and tourists, this beach is used extensively by skim boarders. The shoreline is steep, which results in wave run-up that's dangerous for small children. Youngsters can be swept away when the waves recede. Surf restrictions are enforced when conditions warrant. Rock outcroppings separate stretches of sand. Access from parking on PCH is found at Camels Point Drive, West Street and near the Laguna Royale condos.Food/Dining: A concession stand (hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, etc.) opens daily adjacent to the beach.
Facilities: Lifeguard, food stands, nearby bus stop, fire rings, fishing, playground, showers, surfing, tide pools.
Restrooms: The restroom is undersized for the crowds that often arrive. Lines often form on weekends.
Dogs From the beginning of June through the end of August, dogs are allowed, on leashes, only before 8 a.m. and after 6 p.m. During rest of year, leashed dogs allowed at all times. (This applies to Laguna Beach city beaches only.)
