Beach Information
Special Comments: Playa del Rey is a great uncrowded beach with everything from bike riding to basketball. This wide expansive beach is beautiful, but it sits under LAX, which causes a lot of noise. Playa del Rey is one of the most appealing beaches if you want to stay away from the crowds. The white sand beach with small dunes allows nice views of the Marina del Rey harbor. The bike path starts up again after the street detour between Washington Blvd. and Fiji Way. If you are a volleyball player you'll be glad to know that there are plenty of courts available even on the weekends. There is a beautiful grass park with a lagoon and playground equipment for the kids. Dogs are allowed on leash in the park. There are basketball courts and a baseball diamond. Find out more about Playa del Rey.

Food/dining: Currently there is no food available on the beach, however, it is just a few blocks into town where there are restaurants and markets.
Restrooms: Restrooms are clean and available on the beach east of the bike path.
