Rock City / Rock City News was first to discover/feature/publish photographs and stories of such L.A. bands as Static X, Sugar Ray, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, System of a Down, Guns 'N' Roses, Lit, Poison, L.A. Guns, Jane's Addiction, Bullet Boys, & More! . . . Rock City News/Scratch Magazine was also L.A.'s first Rap Mag (1983 - 1985), first Goth Mag (1983 - 1988), first Underground Club Mag (1983 - 1990), first Glam Mag (1986 - 1992), first Hardcore Rock Mag and curently only Metal Rock Magazine. Rock City also provides entertainment through live shows, sponsorships, and the annual Rock City Awards show. As a publisher and photographer, Ruben MacBlue has shot continous live photos of L.A.'s best bands and published them nonstop every other week throughout Los Angeles since 1983 and on the world wide web since 1996.
